THIS! This is amazing and wonderful and you write Edmund so perfectly and Susan is wow!

I never really thought about Susan so much before, and it's great that she started living again. I always felt bad that people write her off, or assume that she didn't go to Aslan's country because she "didn't deserve" it. And you get into her life after mourning really nicely.

And then Edmund is hurting just as much as Susan is. It's really lovely how he wants to hold her, but never can. And the combination of heartbroken and bratty is just lovely.

The little details you included really add to this story. Like the fact that he's always wearing the same clothes and they're always wrinkled. And the paradox that he can't have the cigarette and the sword at the same time. I think that scene where she remembers the princess and the dragon is just lovely.

The scenes where they're arguing about death and what it's like are some of the most beautiful I've read for a long time. Like this: About all the things that were now gone, people that were dead, and places that were ruined. It only made her heart bleed and her head ache. That is truly beautiful and makes my heart hurt.

And you included the detail about the tea/coffee thing! I love that so much.

The end is done just perfectly. I love that she got to live her life, and then held Edmund's hand.

So in conclusion: thankyouthankyouthankyou, you're the absolute best BOF ever.
