Doctor Who, Mickey/Rose, read the fine print.

When he fell for the laughing blonde girl, he forgot to read the fine print: this relationship will not come free, you will have to work on it and there will be heartbreak and sorrow, but in the end you will both be happy. They both rushed into a friendship that was wonderful because it was an alternative to what they had had before, and ran forward to where they could see their names in lights.

Then the Doctor came along and all their plans came to nothing in the face of his Time Lord charm, but they both agreed that they wouldn't have missed those few years for the world.

Beautiful but bittersweet, loved it. Thanks for writing it, I really felt sorry for Mickey but I'm glad there's no regrets.

Criminal Minds, Reid/Morgan, "don't cry."

Numb3rs, Colby/Charlie, tangled.

Torchwood, Owen, memorial.

He keeps a little shrine that no one else sees. With every adventure, he takes an artifact - a wrapper from the pasty shop they went to instead of investigating, or a photograph of the sunlight hitting the trees as they made their desperate chase - and places it next to a list of the dead. Anyone else looking at it would see just a pile of junk, but that's because they're only looking at the big picture, and he knows that it's the little things that matter.

I love this, something I could believe Owen doing for his own sake without calling attention to it. It was really lovely. Many thanks for writing it.

RENT, Collins/Angel, drum lesson.

Collin tries to keep his eyes on the drum, but they keep drifting back up to the warmth of Angel's eyes as she tries, yet again, to explain how to take a simple object like a make-shift drum and make it into rhythm, into emotion. It isn't that he doesn't care about the music-- he does-- it's just that he cares about the smile on Angel's face more-- about the way she lights up when she plays. She looks up at him, laughs and wiggles her hips just a little with the next hit of the drum, and he doesn't think she really minds his lack of attention.

"Spock," he said, seriously for once, "I think you've got the wanderlust - Your eyes are filled with stars, I know you want to get out there and go anywhere." The Vulcan raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow, saying nothing, but exuding a sense that Jim had never been more wrong in his foolish human existence. "Come on Spock, I've seen you staring up at the sky, wondering what's out there; if there's anything I know, it's the need to be more and see more and you've got it; so come with me and there's nothing we can't do, as long as we're together."

Narnia/Merlin, late teens!Lucy/Merlin, I know about secrets too

Lucy placed her hand over Merlin's, calming his shakes; he had been nervous after she had finally admitted to him that she knew he was a wizard,
"You don't seem anything like in the stories--I could see why Aslan brought me here."

Merlin looked up confused at the name and rose his eyebrows. "Aslan?" was the question he asked and to this Lucy replied with a smirk... "I know about secrets too."

Biblical, serpent, many names

Adam and Eve together name the animals of the garden. The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the land are all put in their places in the grand order of life. The serpent hates this order, this perfect cooperation that he no longer is part of, and decides to introduce a little chaos.

Doctor Who, Rose, running home

Four dozen armed guards in full-plate armor are on her heels in hot pursuit, and soon the winged riders will be catching up as well, but Rose isn't thinking overmuch about them - she's concentrating on the Doctor's voice in the cell phone at her ear, calling directions: "Left at the next corner! Now jump that low fence and run along the length of the stream until you come to the footbridge... okay, now cross, and cut through the trees..."

Her free arm is pumping hard, and so is her heart, as her feet fly over the dusty gray earth, kicking up plumes behind her. She can hear the guards closing in on her, but she crests the next hill and hears the Doctor's whoop in both her ears; she sprints down the path as shots begin to crack the air around her, keeping low, and tumbles through the door of the TARDIS - the Doctor yanks it shut behind her, leaps over to slam a button on the central console, and just in time they're in the air - she's home safe.
