Welcome to the Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon:

Photobucket

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

Edit December 10th: Thanks to the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine we now have a delicious account. So head on over there to find some unfilled prompts: three_sentence_ficathon's delicious bookmarks.

A small note from [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine who's organizing the delicious archive: "So I'm not familiar with all the fandoms here; sometimes when people post a ficlet they abbreviate a fandom and sometimes they don't (like BSG versus Battlestar Galactica, but I know that one) so I might have it listed twice in the delicious tags. If someone notices something messed up they can comment below." -- So do that, and when requesting something new, please use the fandom's whole name.

Star Trek, Jim Kirk, making up memories

When Frank's done his worst and made Jim feel three inches tall Jim talks it all out with his dad, it doesn't matter that he never met him because this way he can talk to him in his mind and Frank can't do a damn thing about it.

He talks to his dad about school, pretends George took him on his first day and gave him a pep talk about big boy school and all the friends he'll make while telling Jim how proud he is of him. He talks to his dad about parents day and sports day like he was there with him, even as an adult it's a comfort to talk to his dad before going asleep, the only difference now is he doesn't have to invent adventures anymore.

This is awesome! I love how the things they do together are just normal father-son bonding activities. Thanks!

In my head Jim just wants his dad, I have him comparing everything Frank does with how he thinks George would do it. (Must spend less time focusing on fictional characters *g*)

Yes, he would always be comparing them. It's the only way he has to nurse his resentment against Frank. Of course he knows that if his dad were alive he wouldn't be perfect, but he needs to pretend or he'll go crazy. (You're not the only one who needs a life)

This is really nicely done.
