Welcome to the Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon:

Photobucket

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

Edit December 10th: Thanks to the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine we now have a delicious account. So head on over there to find some unfilled prompts: three_sentence_ficathon's delicious bookmarks.

A small note from [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine who's organizing the delicious archive: "So I'm not familiar with all the fandoms here; sometimes when people post a ficlet they abbreviate a fandom and sometimes they don't (like BSG versus Battlestar Galactica, but I know that one) so I might have it listed twice in the delicious tags. If someone notices something messed up they can comment below." -- So do that, and when requesting something new, please use the fandom's whole name.

He's done it, in less than ideal circumstances of course, he's Captain Kirk and he's proud of that except that feeling that he hoped to quash with this achievement is still there eating away at him like his promotion didn't mean anything. He's wanted this, thought it'd bring him closer to his father or be a fuck you to anyone who ever doubted him but now he's certain this posting is a double edged sword, a brilliant reward but also a test to see if he screws up. He assumed that the negative self-talk in his head would stop but he's never let that voice have the last word before, he'll fight against it like he always does to spur him on to greatness.

Yay for Jim! But oh, the self doubt and angst. Doesn't he know that he's brilliant and wonderful? I just want to give him a hug so bad now. Thank you.

Doesn't he know that he's brilliant and wonderful?

I think he does sometimes but I figure it's that thing of thinking it would fix everything and a disappointment when it didn't. He'll keep fighting though.

He had better keep fighting, because the world needs him. I can understand him being disappointed that there's no fix-all solution, but it's good that he has friends to help him out when he's feeling down.
