Welcome to the Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon:

Photobucket

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

Edit December 10th: Thanks to the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine we now have a delicious account. So head on over there to find some unfilled prompts: three_sentence_ficathon's delicious bookmarks.

A small note from [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine who's organizing the delicious archive: "So I'm not familiar with all the fandoms here; sometimes when people post a ficlet they abbreviate a fandom and sometimes they don't (like BSG versus Battlestar Galactica, but I know that one) so I might have it listed twice in the delicious tags. If someone notices something messed up they can comment below." -- So do that, and when requesting something new, please use the fandom's whole name.

When Merlin whispers forever into Arthur's ear late at night, this is what she means: endless, eternity, there will not be a time in which they do not find one another.

It's a cycle of death and birth and heartbreak and discovery: Arthur dies a King and is reborn a peasant, then a trader, then a sailor's brat, again and again and again; he fights in wars that use different weapons but always have the same basic motive of human nature, and there is not one life in which Merlin does not find him; the look on his face when he remembers her and their lives together never fails to make her breath catch, so that she does not even mind that she's been carrying her memories alone for the years it's taken to find him.

It always takes years, and memories are a lonely companion; but every time that loneliness ends with them sharing breathless kisses, and so Merlin wouldn't change any of it for the world.

*Sigh* I love this pairing so freaking much. There's just something extra awesome when Merlin is a girl. (I like male Merlin too, but just...)

I really really really really love the rebirth of Arthur and Merlin living forever (is this fanon or folklore or something? I'm not so familiar with Merlin/Arthurian folklore.)

I love that she always finds him and just... So much love.

Girl!Merlin is fabulous. :D I'm not so familiar with Arthurian folklore either, but I know in fandom there are a lot of fics where Merlin lives forever and Arthur keeps getting reborn. There are also fics where both of them keep getting reborn and don't remember their past lives at first, but the former idea has a kind of melancholy feel to it that appeals to the angst-writer in me. :D
