fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

It’s protein bars and changing diapers; it’s stumbling into the cockpit half-asleep and half-alive and stumbling out half-awake and half-dead; it’s the shooting range and the weight room and dropping Hera off at daycare; it’s war paint and finger-paint and what’s the difference anyway?

It isn’t anything like he planned: married, to a Cylon who’s more human than anyone else he’s ever known, with a perfect little girl with his mother’s curls and his wife’s eyes; fighting a war to keep the remnants of humanity alive, making the hard choices, day after day with no way of knowing whether he’s right or wrong or if there’s any such thing anymore.

But he tickles and Hera laughs and Sharon smiles, and he knows exactly what right is.
