01) Are you currently in a serious relationship?
No. I'm not sure if I'm sad about that. Mostly I decide I'm not.
02) What was your dream growing up?
I've always wanted to write, but I also flirted briefly with archaeology. For some reason, I thought that painstaking excavation under a hot sun would be fun.
03) What talent do you wish you had?
Focus.
04) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
Something with a ridiculous milk-to-coffee ratio.
05) Favourite vegetable?
Potato. If we're counting root vegetables, and even if we're not.
06) What was the last book you read?
I mostly reread Wicked and then got sidetracked with Sherlock Holmes. I'm sorry, Elphaba, you get whiny and uninteresting once you're at Kiamo Ko with your forgiveness fixation and insomnia-induced craziness and whatnot.
07) What zodiac sign are you?
Leo.
08) Any tattoos and/or piercings? Explain where.
No. I could never commit to something so permanent. (See also: why I'm never getting married.)
09) Worst habit?
Starting things and not finishing them.
10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
I'd offer to walk with you, since I don't have a car. And bus drivers are surprisingly resistant to pulling over for people who are not at bus stops.
11) What is your favourite sport?
Rock climbing.
12) Do you have a pessimistic or optimistic attitude?
I like to think that I have a pragmatic attitude and realistic expectations.
13) What would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with me?
I would awkwardly try to spark some conversation, most likely using music, movies, and/or books.
14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
There was quite a kerfuffle in my sophomore year of high school--the usual relationship drama, complicated by the fact that we were friends before and after and lines kept blurring. Also complicated by her parents, who were not at all understanding.
15) Tell me one weird fact about you.
I can put my feet behind my head.
16) Do you have any pets?
My mom is currently taking care of the cat I advocated for and who is, therefore, my cat, especially when anything goes wrong.
17) What if I showed up at your house unexpectedly?
I panic about the mess and its unsuitablility for visitors and hustle you off to do something fun elsewhere.
18) What was your first impression of me?
That you are extremely brave for hosting something as huge as the Three Sentence Fic-a-Thon.
19) Do you think clowns are cute or scary?
It depends on the clown. Mostly I think they're creepy in a sleazy what-are-you-doing-with-your-life-to-end-up-here--please-stop-leering-at-me way.
20) If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
I'd like to be a bit taller.
21) Would you be my partner-in-crime or my conscience?
Depends on our chances of success. If greater than 75% I'm in. If not, I suggest revising the plan until they are.

Blue.

Not yet.

Cans are cheaper.
25) If you won $10,000 today, what would you do with it?
College tuition, ugh.
26) What's your favourite place to hang out?
There aren't great places around here, unfortunately. That the weather is a particularly unattractive mix of snow and rain doesn't help.

Not really.
28) Favourite thing to do in your spare time?
Read. Or abortive attempts at writing. Reading is less frustrating.
29) Do you swear a lot?
I swear to myself more often than I swear in conversation.

People who are ignorant and intolerant and unwilling to learn better.
31) In one word, how would you describe yourself?
Paradoxical.
32) Do you believe in/appreciate romance?
I think the only people who don't believe in romance are those who are in the midst of/have just gotten out of a bad break-up.
33) Favourite and least favourite food?
Potato anything; sushi. I can't stand the taste of seaweed.

I believe in the power of belief.
