Complete With a Water Slide

After Gilmore Girls and the Rory/Logan ship, so was Harry Potter and Draco/Ginny my first fandom. It was the fandom I wrote my first fics in (if you look, you'll find them, but I won't link you because it's horrible stuff. Really, truly, horrible stuff. All my D/G fics are truly crap.) But time flies and you move on from one fandom and into others.

But the last week I’ve been going on a Draco/Ginny fic reading spree. And to do so I’ve just checked out old rec list, and I’ve realised that the Harry Potter fandom is getting… if not exactly old (there are after all much older fandoms), but oldish. There are so many links that are broken, fics that have been taken down, authors who have deleted everything and vanished, old “classics” of the fandom, gone forever! And that makes me sad!

But it has also been really fun. I’ve read fics that was written in the Great Gap between GoF and OotP! Fics where Ginnys name is thought to be Virginia, and it’s so annoying that I almost can’t handle it. Fics with tropes that was new and fresh in the 00s, that are old and used up now, but so good and all that I want. (Arranged marriage fics 4evah!!!)

But it makes me wonder, all these dead links, and silent forums… Is the D/G fandom dead? Is the fandom producing new things? Are there new “classics” that should be read? Does anybody know?

Rec me your favorite Draco/Ginny fic!!

- November is gearing up to be the most awesome month ever. On Friday I was at a PJ-cup where we (meaning Tensing, my church's youth choir) played volleyball all night against other youth groups/ choirs in our county, in our pyjamas. I had the best time. So worth the bruises I got from playing. I haven't played volleyball in four years or so. But it's easy to learn again, and so fun and social.

On Friday the 12th I am... GET THIS... GOING TO THE PRE-PREMIÈRE OF HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS!! Red carpet the whole shebang. I get to see this movie a whole week before everyone else. I am so happy! All because my parents happened to play golf with a guy who works at Sandrew Metronome (the company who distributes Harry Potter in Norway) and they mentioned that I'm kind of a big fan and he was like "I'll see if I can get her some tickets. We really want some real fans there." This was a couple of months ago. Then on Saturday there was an envelope in the mail for me... I thought it was the bracelet I won in the foresthouseeyes auction, but no, it was two tickets to Harry Potter. I was speechless for an hour.

Then on Saturday the confirmation year starts up again. I love being involved with that. I get to hang out with awesome people who I only see in church. I love it.

On Tuesday 16th November, I have a gym exam, which I'm not looking forward to, except to be done with it. But the day after, the 17th, I'm going to go and watch Next to Normal again. This time on my own, so I can cry as much as I'd like.

Friday 19th I'm going to go on a Tensing weekend trip, where we'll have fun and sing and prepare for our Christmas concert.

Then, the 26th I'm going to the theatre again to watch a new production of The Secret Garden. It's in New Norwegian and apparently videogames are involved? I'm not sure, but it will probably be fun.

And to top off the awesome month that will have been November, my mother and I are going to go and watch AHA on the 30th.

TOP THAT FOR AN AWESOME MONTH!!!

- Today it's exactly a month until I turn twenty. How freaking scary is that? On the plus side, after I turn twenty there's nothing I'm not allowed to do. I can buy my own liquor and drink it too! But dude! TWENTY! I'm getting old. I'll have to pay lots of money for my bus card. I... ugh.

- One more thing before I go to bed: Is there any interest for another Three Sentence Ficathon? I'm keen and more than happy to host it again. But I can't play with myself so you all have to come and play too. I'm thinking of making a post December 1. and let it run out December... Thoughts?

I'm seven pages into my D/G fic exchange fic and I've not even gotten to the meat of the story! This is gonna be fairly long. Great. With all the school work I have to do, this will go *great*

Many people ranted on all the things they didn't like about DH right after the book came out. I didn't do that, but I'm doing it now. I just finish reading it for the second time and I have a few um….. issues that bothered me with this book, now that I’ve read it in a regular pace. This is really long so I'm putting it under a cut.

Under the cut are many things that irked me, be so warned. Lots of acclamations marks ahead:

1-Came home from lovely Palma Nova in Mallorca yesterday. Me and my mum had a lovely time, just relaxing in the sun. And we walked, and walked. I don't think I've walked that much in two years or something. I've gotten a beautiful tan. I will post pictures later.


2-I had this bizarre dream today. It was very weird, having something to do with toys and clothes. And I needed help to carry it. So suddenly three Draco's comes to help me. And they needed clothes, so I gave them three identical outfits. But then one of them wrinkles his nose and says they needed different clothes because they couldn't look the same!

I hope that was understandable. I just thought that was so hilarious, even dream-me started laughing. That's just such a "Draco"-thing to say=)

3-I'm really tired now. I think I will sleep the rest of this week. The Summer holiday are starting next weekend, and I'm going away on Saturday!

4-Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone are showing on tv now!

Sorry. It's been a long time since I've updated and read my f-list!

I have spent one week at my family's cabin this easter. That was maybe not the most fun vacation I've had. I spent most of the week in bed sleeping, the other eating chocolate and reading. I read four books in one week! Go me!

I changed the lay-out of my lj, I think it's pretty=P

I have spent some time talking Deathly Hallows theories, I don't have many but it's really fun hearing every bodies thoughts.

I am a lazy lazy person. I get tiered of just thinking of updating my LJ. But my fanfic is finished. I am really proud of it. I have posted it on ff.net, but because of some coding problem I can't post it on FIA. Every time I try to upload my story these "" get all wonky. In the mean time I'll post it here.
