caramelsilver: (Les Miserables: Enjorlas awesome)
- November is gearing up to be the most awesome month ever. On Friday I was at a PJ-cup where we (meaning Tensing, my church's youth choir) played volleyball all night against other youth groups/ choirs in our county, in our pyjamas. I had the best time. So worth the bruises I got from playing. I haven't played volleyball in four years or so. But it's easy to learn again, and so fun and social.

On Friday the 12th I am... GET THIS... GOING TO THE PRE-PREMIÈRE OF HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS!! Red carpet the whole shebang. I get to see this movie a whole week before everyone else. I am so happy! All because my parents happened to play golf with a guy who works at Sandrew Metronome (the company who distributes Harry Potter in Norway) and they mentioned that I'm kind of a big fan and he was like "I'll see if I can get her some tickets. We really want some real fans there." This was a couple of months ago. Then on Saturday there was an envelope in the mail for me... I thought it was the bracelet I won in the [livejournal.com profile] foresthouseeyes auction, but no, it was two tickets to Harry Potter. I was speechless for an hour.

Then on Saturday the confirmation year starts up again. I love being involved with that. I get to hang out with awesome people who I only see in church. I love it.

On Tuesday 16th November, I have a gym exam, which I'm not looking forward to, except to be done with it. But the day after, the 17th, I'm going to go and watch Next to Normal again. This time on my own, so I can cry as much as I'd like.

Friday 19th I'm going to go on a Tensing weekend trip, where we'll have fun and sing and prepare for our Christmas concert.

Then, the 26th I'm going to the theatre again to watch a new production of The Secret Garden. It's in New Norwegian and apparently videogames are involved? I'm not sure, but it will probably be fun.

And to top off the awesome month that will have been November, my mother and I are going to go and watch AHA on the 30th.

TOP THAT FOR AN AWESOME MONTH!!!

- Today it's exactly a month until I turn twenty. How freaking scary is that? On the plus side, after I turn twenty there's nothing I'm not allowed to do. I can buy my own liquor and drink it too! But dude! TWENTY! I'm getting old. I'll have to pay lots of money for my bus card. I... ugh.

- One more thing before I go to bed: Is there any interest for another Three Sentence Ficathon? I'm keen and more than happy to host it again. But I can't play with myself so you all have to come and play too. I'm thinking of making a post December 1. and let it run out December... Thoughts?

I am back from vacation and to that I can only say HALLELUJAH! It has both been the best and the worst Easter vacation I have had in years. The weather has been crap and schizophrenic. On Friday we had everything the world has to offer of weather: Sun, rain, snow, wind... So, not counting a hugely unsuccessful ski trip, I didn't spend much time outside. The snow was so rotten that we thread through every third step. (Not sure if I'm explaining this very well.) But the good things about this vacation was that my cousin, Tiril, who is six months older than me, came with us. So, it was lots of fun having her there. Even if all we did was play lots and lots of cards and Scrabble, and read books. I didn't get the time to read four books, but I did read three. One of those was Good Omens. I loved it, and will talk about it later.

I am so happy to be home. My back has been killing me the last couple of days and it will be beyond heaven to sleep in my own bed tonight.

Few internet things:

- WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH YOUTUBE?? I'm gone a week and they've gone all weird on me! Where is the URL? That's how I download Mock the Week and convert my music into mp3 files! I need that URL!!!

- Does anyone of you use Firefox? And if you do, do you have a fancy header picture? Tell me.

Fangirl alert:

I'm completely obsessed with Max Manus and the Norwegian resistance during WWII. And because I'm a huge nerd, as my brother keep pointing out, two of the books I've read this month has been about the resistance. And I am not apologetic about it either. Unlike Narnia and Harry Potter, this obsession might do me some good in real life. It's never a bad thing to learn more about my own country's history. I have the next book all picked out and everything.

Speaking of Max Manus. I am currently watching the movie, again! Seriously, I love this movie so much. And it vexes me more than anything that this had to be the movie where I was assigned my Slash Goggles TM. I ship Max/Gregers so freaking much! And there's no one to squee with. I would so write fic for this, if it wasn't in Norwegian (it fucks with my head to write fic in English when I know they should be speaking in Norwegian.) and if they hadn't been real life people. (I'm reading biographies about these people!!) RPS is kind of my squick limit.

Also: EMIL HEGLE SVENDSEN WON THE BIATHLON WORLDCUP! There will be a celebratory picspam later.

Has anything exciting happened while I've been gone? Fill me in.

I have found the awesome site where I can rip the song from a Youtube video and I'm totally in love. So to celebrate I'm gonna share some download links with you.

The links expires in a week, btw.

I'm not afraid to move on - Jostein Hasselgård. (This song takes me back. He won the Norwegian Eurovision in 2003. I was in seventh grade back then, and we totally loved this song. I couldn't find it on itunes, but was thrilled when I found it on youtube.)

My Heart is Yours - Didrik Solli Tangen. (This years winner of the Norwegian Eurovision song contest. It's just a beautiful ballad.)

Eternally - Which Witch. (This is an old song from a musical in the 80's. I think. The melody is just so haunting.)

Antebellum - Vienna Teng (I realise that the entirety of fandom have already heard this song. But to the few of you who haven't you can download it now. It's absolutely beautiful, with awesome lyrics.)

And that's it for today. Hopefully, I haven't done anything wrong. I've never shared music like this before. Enjoy.

Oh, I do hate being sick. Especially this kind of sick. Sore throat, coughing and constantly freezing. It doesn't help that it's -17 Celsius outside. Yesterday, our upstairs toilet froze and it wouldn't flush!

I've been tucked under my down duvet all week. Thank god, my duvet is so warm or else I would have been an icicle all week. So when I haven't been sleeping I have been re-watching season 5 of Gilmore Girls and reading Rory/Logan fanfiction, and downloading music from [livejournal.com profile] fileshare_free. I got the entire Glee soundtrack! That's some awesome music.

Here's the three sentence fic I wrote right before new years and forgot to post to my journal before 2010:

Under the cut there's 5 Narnia fics where 4 is genderfuck and 1 Anastasia fic )

Hello people. Thank you so much for all your well wishes when I was ill. I am much better and will be going back to school on Monday. I have luckily gotten a declaration from my doctor saying that I've been sick these past two weeks, since I'm really in the shits when it comes to my sick days quota.

So the whole swineflu here's the thing: I went to the doctor and they took samples of my blood and after fifteen minutes I was called back in and my doctor told me that there was a virus in my blood and the most logical thing to conclude was that it was Swineflu. To get conclusive result would take three weeks and I was clearly not important enough to rush anything. (They probably didn't even bother to send it to the lab.)

And yes, I did take the vaccine! But my doctor told me quite nonchalantly that yeah, but that doesn't start working until after two weeks! I was like what!? No one told me that!!

My laptop is ruined. Every time I switch it on it only says can't read the disc re-start. So fuck. All my music!! Which I was stupid enough to not back up and all my fic bits. I'm so very upset. But I am going to get a MacBook for my birthday so I'm really looking forward to that. (But I want my music!! That's 900 songs and I do not want to buy them so I can get them on my new mac! (Cause no way I'm putting Limewire on my new shiny mac.))

But to some other happier news: I got a new wardrobe and sofa in my room!! I finally have a big mirror in my room and I finally have a place to put all my clothes. And my sofa! It's so pretty and nice and I love it so much.

My muse has gone and left me again. Probably because my laptop doesn't work and the one I'm using now (my fathers) is different to type on.
caramelsilver: (Star Trek: Doctor McCoy)
*I finished the first draft of my genderfuck Star Trek Kirk-as-a-girl/McCoy fic. YAY me! I've been writing this fic since early June! So nice to finally have finished it.

*I so want to go see Peter Doherty 6th of December. I'm not really a huge fan, but I just really, really want to go. But the stupid thing is that all my friends who loves music is not old enough. (You have to be 18 to get in.) I think I'm gonna try and convince K to go with me, even though he might not like the music. It's TWO days before my birthday! Surely I can get him to come with me as an early birthday present?

*FIVE DAYS UNTIL LONDON, PEOPLE!! Can't fucking wait!!

Step 1: put your music player on shuffle
Step 2: post the first line from the first 25 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Check off the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google is cheating.

Twenty songs under the cut: )

I've discovered that loud music might trigger the pain in my ears. But I can't write without music. It's impossible! I've written 10 pages of my D/G story and I've yet to get to the meaty parts. This is gonna be long. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not. On one part it's always awesome when my ideas turned into long stories, on the other hand, I do not have time for long fics right now!!
