This was so much fun last year, so I'm doing it again!

The rules:

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Percy has a plan; he has many, in fact, but the plan he's thinking of is the one he's been forming since he was seven years old, the plan for the rest of his life; certain details have altered over the years, but the basics remain the same: become Prefect, Head Boy, get as many N.E.W.T.S. as possible, be the smartest, the most perfect, work for the Ministry, meet a nice girl who doesn't find you boring, marry her, have two or three children and get promoted as often as you can.

Some of these he's accomplished with relative ease, and some are still unfinished (be the most perfect is always in the works; he always finds room for improvement in himself, has never been satisfied with who he is); but nothing disrupts his careful plan quite so thoroughly as Oliver Wood (Oliver, who is most definitely not a woman and can give Percy no children, but who strangely seems to find Percy fascinating, and smiles at him in the same stomach-fluttering way he did all through their school years).

"Perce, you--we've been friends for--I just--" Oliver stammers, looking uncharacteristically nervous; and looking at him, a flush rising on his cheeks, Percy thinks to hell with the Plan, and leans in to kiss him.

The punch up in the cemetery had been followed by drinks, a lot of them, since Jack was buying. After last call, Owen had stumbled out of the pub, grabbing onto Jack’s lapels to keep himself upright, and when Owen hadn’t let go, Jack had whispered in his hair, “I’ll take care of you now.” Jack chuckled at Owen’s mumbled, “Geroff,” as all the while his newest employee was burrowing closer into Jack’s warmth, clinging to him for support.

A/N: My first try at writing a fic in english, so it's propably a grammatical disaster. I don't know.


It was meant to be a joke (a joke about Ianto and Jack and Jack and everyone else and Jack and that stupid military coat actually and nothing more); he hadn’t thought it through: “Everyone loves a man in uniform.”
“I do that’s for sure”, Ianto responds without hesitation and gives him the brightest smile a human being can possibly be capable of.
Following Iantos eyes as they travel down his body Andy finally remembers the fact that (of course) he is wearing his police uniform and that (somehow) Ianto moved several inches closer to him since this conversation started; he really hadn’t thought it through.

Leonard watches his captain storm off the bridge, muttering about his communications staff and quietly walks over to tell her, "I worry about him all the time."

Nyota thinks about the first time she met him and the weight he's taken on his shoulders, and eventually she has to nod in agreement. "That doesn't stop him being an inconsiderate jerk," she adds, but she really means it as a compliment - Leonard grins.

The kid may have a reputation for knowing what he's doing between the sheets, but Pike knows 'trying too hard' when he sees it--trying too hard to please, to be perfect, to be wanted; Pike wants none of that here, with him.

"Jim, this isn't a performance review," he says dryly, cupping Jim's jaw and stroking a thumb over his mouth, and means let go; I want the real you. Pike sees blue eyes lighten with humor, sees the insecurities still hidden away deep inside, but that's all right; he plans to have enough time to burn those away, bit by aching bit.

They do it together, because they've always done it together and anyway who else are they going to do it with, they none of them have any particularly close friends. So they do it together, Lucy and Susan giggling to themselves, Edmund and Peter trying to act as if this isn't such a big deal (except it is, it really is). And it winds up being Lucy who falls asleep first, cheeks pink and step slightly unsure; Peter follows shortly afterward, because he really can't hold alcohol as well as he'd like the others to think; Susan is next, an hour later, her speech only slightly slurred, which leaves Edmund to finish off the last bottle and realize he's the only one awake, and feels rather lonely because of it.

Harry Potter, Ron/Hermione, cooking lessons

There were two years during which it was only Ron and Ginny at home, and during the day his father worked; Ginny was more interested in playing with her dolls and trying to sneak Charlie's old broom out for a flight than anything else, so it was Ron who used to sit in the kitchen with his mum and watch her make lunch, utterly fascinated. The result of this is that Ron's turned out the best cook of all of his siblings, and he carries his mum's words around: it's all in the love you put into it, Ron; instructions can only take you so far.

So when Ron says to Hermione like this, love, and she answers with an agitated but the cookbook says to--, he just smiles, and tells her: let's imagine the book's wrong for once, shall we? I have a feeling this will turn out perfect, anyway.
