caramelsilver: (Misc: London)

A little more talk about London! This was my fourth time in that city, and it's still my favourite place on earth. I adore it to pieces and I just feel so very at home there. And since I've been there plenty of times now, I know how to ride the tube without looking like too much of a tourist, I can navigate the West End without the need of a map, and I can calculate the currency in my head (how much would this cost at home?). So this time around I learned something new: You can not ride the Tube in the beginning of June without getting grimy and sweaty and just plain dirty! London is a dirty city, and it doesn't matter how awesome you looked when you left the hotel-room, one trip on the Tube, and your make-up will be running down your face and your clothes clinging to your body. But, on the bright side, you know that everybody around you are having the same problems.

On a random note: I'm pretty sure I walked past Andrew Garfield on Thursday... Unless some of you know for sure that he couldn't have been in London, of course, then I walked past someone who really looked like Andrew Garfield.

I had a simply awesome time in London. I drank ice-coffee and bought cheap books in my favourite little bookshop on Russell Square. I saw Les Miserables and Love Never Dies

The wonderful thing about travelling with my brother is that we don't have to spend every hour together. We ate breakfast together and then went and did things we wanted to do on our own, and then we met up in the afternoon, and had dinner together. He is his mother's son and loves to go around sight-seeing, and just looking at the sights around him. I get bored after an hour, and wants to move on. So while I went shopping, he went and saw Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and Wembley. He was on his own for four or five hours and he came back without buying anything! On Saturday we went to Camden market! I'd never been before, and it was great. But hot, and like I said, I get easily bored. So while my brother could've walked and walked and walked for hours, I got us out of there in two hours. We ate food out of the food booths, I tried to eat fish and chips. Not impressed. That was not as good as I imagined it would be. Saturday night, my brother got a ticket to see the England/Switzerland match at Wembley, and I saw Love Never Dies. See how awesome my brother is! He is the perfect travel companion. It definitively won't suck to travel with him again.
