I'm home from the hospital!

I came home from the hospital today. My appendix got infected (It think that's right) and had to have surgery. It all started Thursday night, my stomach hurt like hell, but I thought it would blow over. It didn't. Friday morning I could lay still, it hurt so much. So we went to the hospital. They thought it was something else and gave me pills and sent me home. A couple of hours later we went back. I have never had so much pain in my stomach before. And I have had a lot of pain in my life. Long story short: I spent many hours in the hospital waiting for surgery. I had a fever, I never have fevers, so that was a big indicator that it was a infection in my body. I finally got surgery around 11pm, 8 hours after I came inn. Now I'm home, I'm feeling, not great, but okay. But my cuts (don't know what else to call them,)is a little tender. I have painkillers that can fix that. Apparently my appendix have been bothering me for a while. It has been infected for some time, that explains a lot btw. I am so happy that is over. I'm happy that I never have to do it again.

Thank you. I hope I used the right word. After I posted it I suddenly got really scared that I used the wrong word and all of you would think it was worse than it was. What I mean was -betennelse i blindtarmen- is that what I wrote? *Suddenly a litte embarraset if I'm wrong*

Infection is the right word for "betennelse", so what you said was correct. :-)

*sigh of relief* One of my very early memories is of a family friend getting his appendix out. Silly boy went and played basketball after dinner. Bad idea because he ended up in surgery. Sorry that you had to too because it sounds like lots of pain but I'm glad you're better.
