He knew dysfunctional like the back of his hand. In their faces he saw the classical archetypes; mother, brother, father, sisters, and uncle even if they weren't in anyway related.
It wasn't until he was faced with the reality of functionality and normality, that he realized that he wouldn't have it any other way.
