Mistakes, Edmund knows all about making mistakes and not realising that they were mistakes until it was too late.
He was sitting quietly by the bar listening to the blond man telling him all about his mistakes over brandy and scotch; that was after all why he was there, to listen and tell him that no one is perfect, but that everyone can be forgiven.
Later, when Draco grows silent Edmund will tell him his story, and tell him how doing anything to protect your family can never be wrong, no matter what.
