Thank you for this. It was appropriately heartbreaking. I love that there was no one thing, no big fight to cause it. Lovely writing.

Thank you. I don't think either of them are the type who would let a fight end it all. Because Jim's so scared of losing this one relationship that seemed to be going right, and he'd always come back. And Leonard is used to his little habits and knows how much Jim needs him, so he won't blow up at him, but he would push him away gently once he realizes that this just isn't working right. And they both try to hold on for dear life but it comes to a point where nothing is right anymore.

Yeah, it'd take more than one fight. I just wanted them to hurt for a while. It can always be fixed with another prompt. The joy of fanfics. I could believe it being more of shock to Jim.
