I cried. A lot.

This would have been the most perfect ending to the series! Why couldn't Dean have gone with him and ending the series right there? Everyone dies, but the world is safe. That would have been so so perfect. But I did enjoy The Epic Love Story of Sam and Dean that was this episode. And to be realistic, I can never see Dean being happy without Sam. Sorry. Had Sam legitimately died, then Dean would grieve, but eventually move on. But now? Dean thinks Sam is in HELL! Dean can't live with that.

I have no idea what they are going to do next season, but I'm kind of sad that this wasn't the end. It was my perfect ending, and then they snatched it away from me at the last minute.

My boys were awesome though. SO VERY AWESOME!

I agree with you that this should have been the end, though. I thought it should have ended after Sam jumped into Hell.. as depressing as that would have been. But then Cas comes back and 'saves' everyone, which kind of cheapened it. 3: I THINK THIS YET CAS IS STILL MY FAVOURITE.

I'm dying to know how they're going to continue the story. I mean, they beat THE DEVIL. How are they going to top that?

It would have been depressing as fuck, but in a good way, you know? I would I cried my eyes out and gone to bed with a tub of ice-cream, but... They would have been together then! And in the knowledge that they saved the world and... It FELT like an ending, and then the last ten minutes looked so... tacked on, in a "shit, we got another season, what the hell will we do now???" way.

And yeah! Dude, Castiel, could you be a little more Deus Ex Machina?? But it's not as annoying as it could be because if ANYONE is allowed to be Deus Ex Machina I guess that is God?

I KNOW! WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO NEXT SEASON?? I was all for this being the last one. As you could probably guess by my feelings expressed in this post. How can you top the bloody apocalypse?

I was relieved when Castiel came back for one reason - to fix up Dean's face, because Dean's face after being pummelled by Lucifer was a heartbreak by itself. ;; Other than that, I would totally have been fine with him dying a hero's death.

I CRIED THROUGH THE ENTIRE SECOND HALF OF THE EPISODE. ALSO: SAM AND DEAN'S LOVE FOR EACH OTHER SAVED THE WORLD. I ALWAYS KNEW IT WAS THAT EPIC. (And so much Impala!love.)

I also agree on the perfect ending that could have been, although then I would have cried for days, probably. Is the 6th season really confirmed? I keep hearing rumours about it, but I never found any official evidence.

The 6th season is sadly confirmed. I was all for epic ending here! (as you could probably guess by my reaction.) This would have been the perfect most epic and tragic ending of all television series ever. I'm kinda sad that they didn't have the balls to go there.

I actually do think they would have had the balls to go there, but the 6th season bit them in the arse. It was all wrapped up, but then they had to make a complete turn with the plot, because no Sam? No 6th season.
