Welcome to the Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon:

Photobucket

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

Edit December 10th: Thanks to the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine we now have a delicious account. So head on over there to find some unfilled prompts: three_sentence_ficathon's delicious bookmarks.

A small note from [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine who's organizing the delicious archive: "So I'm not familiar with all the fandoms here; sometimes when people post a ficlet they abbreviate a fandom and sometimes they don't (like BSG versus Battlestar Galactica, but I know that one) so I might have it listed twice in the delicious tags. If someone notices something messed up they can comment below." -- So do that, and when requesting something new, please use the fandom's whole name.

Glee, Puck/author's choice, "I'm sorry."

Puck/Kurt

[identity profile] grim-lupine.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
(I had to make this four sentences, or there would have been way too many semicolons. :D)

The possibility of falling in love with Kurt never occurred to him at all, and he never admitted to himself that it was love; he knows his own type, intensely self-assured and confident, and there is no one braver than Kurt, who has fought and fought and fought to be accepted in his own skin.

Puck can't do that, he doesn't know how; so when Kurt asks him why he's been staring all the time, Puck snarls something disparaging, lashes out in blind panic, because he is not ready to admit that truth about himself; maybe he never will be.

Or maybe all it takes is time; five years later he sees Kurt, still lean and impeccably dressed, with the same unexpectedly young smile; they get to talking, a little uncomfortable, until Puck lays a hand on Kurt's arm and says, "I'm sorry," and Kurt lifts his eyebrows and asks, "For what?"

Puck clenches his jaw, looks at his hands, says, "For not being brave enough five years ago," and when he looks up there's a smile in Kurt's eyes; "What about now?" Kurt asks gently, reaching up to trace over Puck's mouth, "are you brave enough now?" and Puck leans in, answers with his lips and his touch what he can't say with words.

Chronicles of Narnia; Edmund(/Jill); once bitten, twice shy

[identity profile] makinhistory.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
She is not a particularly pretty girl, but Edmund (rational, reasonable Edmund!) has to admit there's something that lingers about her eyes that charms him; perhaps it is the touch of magic that he has only seen in his brother and sisters.

But she doesn't raise her head to look at him; they are seated together on the train, alone, waiting for the others, and her eyes are glued to the window, watching for Eustace.

Edmund is tempted to get up and sit by her, but, of course, he remembers her reaction from last time, and changes his mind - There will be other times, after all.

Jill rolled her eyes in disgust and Eustace knew a speech was coming, "That stuff is wretched--the amount of sugar you put into your body comes mostly from drinks like those."
Eustace nodded, pretending to listen until she finished and finally found the right moment to speak, "So I take it you want some?"
She only gave him a look before grabbing the bottle out of his hands, ignoring the recent all-knowing smirk that appeared.

He ducks her first few ineffectual blows, but he has taught her well, and he cannot bring himself to box *Lucy* of all people, and the next swing of her delicate fist collides solidly with his mouth.
"If you hurt her, too, I'll do worse than just hit you," she says, and stalks off back to her sister.
He thinks his bleeding lip must be nothing compared to her bleeding heart.

Smut again

[personal profile] samueljames 2010-01-27 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Owen is so different from playful enthusiastic Rhys, grips her hair when they fuck and kisses like he hopes it'll bruise and she loves it. It's just on the right side of painful when he pushes his fingers inside her and stretches them apart while reaching up with his other hand to grip her nipple tightly because he in two weeks has figured out what she likes better than Rhys ever could. When he pushes his cock inside her his thrusts are fast and quick but he makes her come before he does and she knows she'll be back for more.

Ender's Game, Alai & Ender, boys off to war

[identity profile] grim-lupine.livejournal.com 2010-01-27 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
These children-not-children, so young and so brilliant, minds too old for their tender bodies; they're training training training just to learn how to kill; killing in the guise of a game is killing all the same (and they think they're learning how to kill their alien enemies, but the truth is that come the bleak future, the ones they'll be killing are each other).

This is wartime, little boys, little girls; keep your friends close and your enemies closer, and your wits and your weapons closest of all; a kiss on the cheek and salaam for peace--you can hope for it, but don't you know it's never meant to last?

This is wartime, and the first casualty is always friendship.

(This is a very weird style I just wrote this in. Hope it makes some kind of sense. XD)

"A whisper on the wind... really?" Holden put down the diary and turned to the woman pouring her coffee. She barely turned, pretending that she wasn't embarassed.
"Yes, it was a long time ago and I was quite young--I wrote down all of those adventures... even that one."
Holden smirked pulling Susan into his arms from behind and kissing her neck, "Well, I'm glad I made such an impact on you--even then."
