Star Trek, McCoy/Chekov, making his boyfriend smile.

Leonard is really just a big teddy bear once you get to know him, but lately he hasn't been very friendly: he's moody and prickly and won't smile the way he used to. Pavel's worried about him, and he just wants to see him smile again, so he goes down to the doctor's office and says, "I have pre-eclampsia and a funny rash on my tongue that only a doctor can cure - are you up to the challenge?" McCoy laughs out loud as he answers, "Oh Chekov, promise me you'll never change, of course I'm up to the challenge."

I love Pavel making him laugh and how comfortable they are together. I know he probably said pre-eclampsia because it's a pregnancy related thing but it made me want to see them as parents.

They really are comfortable together, and Chekov is the only one who can make him laugh like that. Even Jim doesn't have that wide-eyed sincerity that makes Pavel so effective. I was just thinking of it as something so outrageous that he'd have to laugh, but now I really want to see him as a daddy (again). And I will definitely fill your next prompt.

There is definitely an innocent quality to Pavel, he's not jaded with the world.
