He's seventeen years old, too old to be playing hide-and-seek (or at least too old to play the normal kind, Scorpius has some idea how this kind will end and it wouldn't happen if he were any younger), but here he is anyway, running madly in the Potters' house for the best hiding place he can find.

Tucked in the hollow under the stairs, he waits with hushed breath and quickening heartbeat; but he could probably hide on the moon and Albus would still find him--he always finds him, always.

"Caught you," Albus whispers, eyes bright with the things he murmurs into Scorpius's ear at night; and the soft meeting of their lips makes Scorpius forget the game altogether.
