When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Susan heard Max growling and stomping upstairs: “More food!” he roared, “I’ve been gone for years and years.”

Her husband looked at her with an amused expression and asked, “He does understand what being sent to bed without supper means, right?”

Susan doesn’t join in the joke – for a moment, she heard her sister’s voice saying “I’m here. I’ve come back I’m all right” – and decided to bring him a plate of food, still hot.
