Shelter, Zach/Shaun, on the rebound

Shaun was getting over a bad break-up when he first kissed Zach and although he liked him it was more about needing to be touched. Suddenly it got way more complicated than he ever intended it to and he found himself falling for Zach and looking after Cody which had him wondering, if only briefly, whether he could do this. He hadn't planned on anything long-term or ever planned for children but somehow this rebound fling developed into the best thing in Shaun's life.

This is fabulous because it addresses the fact that Shaun was not expecting to gain such a serious relationship or take care of a kid either, but it ended up being exactly what he needed and didn't even know.

I love the idea of Shaun's "need to be touched." The poor guy was so hurt, and unsure what to do with himself after his breakup, and had so much love to give. So glad he didn't have to languish alone for long.
