Andrea is wary of water now, as though it is a living force with a will and agenda of its own. She no longer trusts it to remain inert and powerless in her tub or kitchen sick. And that is why she never takes another bath ever again; only showers with the drain plug pulled out so that no more than an inch of the dangerous liquid can come for her.
