caramelsilver: (Mock the Week: Frankie Boyle nose crinkl)
I love Sundays like these. I get to sleep in, there's biathlon on TV (my bb. Emil Hegle Svendsen didn't do all that well today. He's still in the lead to win the World Cup, though!) and there's ski jumping in the new Holmenkollen! (The ski jump hill in Oslo.) My mum is cooking dinner in the kitchen and my dog is lying comfortably in my lap. Yeah, this is a nice ending to a great week.

A few things:

- The dating on the Three Sentence Ficathon goes out tomorrow and I've decided to not do anything about that. It seems people are mostly done playing. You can still find it in my links if the urge to write some three sentence fics strikes you.

- I wrote my first Triple H. story last night. Here There Be Rules is a story about the three main teachers and their rules. I imagine these scenes would take place in the middle of episode one. (Here There Be Rules is actually the name of the first episode, now that I think about it.)

- I have finished writing another one! Yeah, I'm just on fire this weekend. This one is about the back story of Paige Dawson. I'll have to edit it a few times, because it's a little long, and I'm not sure if all of it is all that good.

- I have gathered everything I have ever written on my delicious page. I have written 38 stories. I am impressed with myself.

I have made a new Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon post: http://caramelsilver.livejournal.com/99143.html

Pimp it, little birds, pimp it!
caramelsilver: (Peter Pan: Oh that cleverness of me!)
The tag on the Three Sentence Fic-a-thon has run out. Should I re-tag it to the top of my page or should I just let people find it through the link on my sidebar? I mean, LJ has pulled out the captcha and that makes it a little less fun to play... Should I make a entirely new post or just let this one fizz out and make a new one in a couple of months? What do all of you think?

I have been so productive today. I am amazed at myself and feeling mightily pleased. I did some studying for my History and Philosophy test on Thursday, then I finished a Norwegian presentation my group have tomorrow. Then I worked some more on my Ireland project which is due on Wednesday. I am just on fire today. And to make it even more shocking- I had fun doing it!

I think that when I get the time (next weekend probably) I'm going to re-organize my tags so they are easier to navigate.

This is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a fic consisting of only three sentences. It's open to all fandoms and you can post and answer as many prompts as you like. Only one prompt per comment please.

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence.

Lastly, please pimp this to your flist, I'd like as many as possible to come and participate!

Have fun!

If you have any questions ask them to the first comment.

Edit December 10th: Thanks to the brilliant [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine we now have a delicious account. So head on over there to find some unfilled prompts: three_sentence_ficathon's delicious bookmarks.

A small note from [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine who's organizing the delicious archive: "So I'm not familiar with all the fandoms here; sometimes when people post a ficlet they abbreviate a fandom and sometimes they don't (like BSG versus Battlestar Galactica, but I know that one) so I might have it listed twice in the delicious tags. If someone notices something messed up they can comment below." -- So do that, and when requesting something new, please use the fandom's whole name.

Oh, I do hate being sick. Especially this kind of sick. Sore throat, coughing and constantly freezing. It doesn't help that it's -17 Celsius outside. Yesterday, our upstairs toilet froze and it wouldn't flush!

I've been tucked under my down duvet all week. Thank god, my duvet is so warm or else I would have been an icicle all week. So when I haven't been sleeping I have been re-watching season 5 of Gilmore Girls and reading Rory/Logan fanfiction, and downloading music from [livejournal.com profile] fileshare_free. I got the entire Glee soundtrack! That's some awesome music.

Here's the three sentence fic I wrote right before new years and forgot to post to my journal before 2010:

Under the cut there's 5 Narnia fics where 4 is genderfuck and 1 Anastasia fic )
caramelsilver: (Lewis: tired)
Because I really have a thing for genderbend my favorite characters, I have now tried my hand at all male Pevensies. There's eight three sentence fics under the cut.

Meet Peter, Samuel, Edmund and Lucas Pevensie )

One of the (many) great things about the Three Sentence Fic-a-thon is that you get to write things you never dreamed you'd write. Like girl!Edmund, who, by the joint writings of me and [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine (mostly her), has turned into a very dynamic character, who I love with all my heart. Here's the four fics I've written so far. (If you want to read all the ones Nikki have written go here)

Edmund as a girl kicks ass! )

If we are going to talk about the bad things about Three Sentence Fic-a-thon, then that's totally the fact that it's shooting my grammar to hell. I have to keep reminding myself that I am allowed to used periods when writing other things.

Next up: All male!Pevensies!!
caramelsilver: (Anastasia: I'd kick her)
I watched Anastasia twice on Sunday. Once in English and then in Norwegian. While John Cusack's voice is terribly sexy and perfect for Dmitri, I think Dmitri's Norwegian voice will always be Dmitri to me. On the subject of Anastasia, I'm working on another fic (yes! another fic!) but it's just not working with me.

It's been a while since I asked, and I've gotten a few more friends since then: do any of you have AIM? If yes, add me! caramelsilver

Three Sentence Fic-A-Thon has 2280 comments! Isn't that just amazing?
caramelsilver: (Lewis: tired)
I have decided to name my MacBook Edgar, say hello.

Birthdays are brilliant, I got seven books from my friends and ca. 500 kr from my aunts and uncles. I'm going to go buy myself a sweater for those money.

The three sentence fic-a-thon is still going strong and here's the ones I've written this week:

Under the cut there's 6 Narnia, where one is crossed over with Harry Potter. )

Edited to add another that I had forgotten. Another Narnia one.
caramelsilver: (Anastasia: Anya)
The Three Sentence Fic-a-Thon is still going strong. If you haven't joined yet, I strongly urge you to. It's very low commitment, you can leave a prompt and you don't even have to fill another (though that would be nice.)

Here's the ones I've filled so far. I hope there will come more prompts with fandoms I actually know. It's great that there's such a diversity, but I know nothing of anime so I can't fill any of those prompts.

This got a little long so I cut it. Under the cut there's 3 Narnia, 1 Doctor Who, 1 Charmed, and 1 Supernatural. )

If you want to see what prompts I've posted that hasn't been filled yet, go here.

I am having a brilliant day, even though I'm so very tired. I had norwegian exam today and I ended up writing a eight page long fantasy short-story. First I decided to write a modern fairy-tale (I was going to have the girl save the prince and everything!) but then I realised that it would take much more time than I had (only had five hours), so instead I wrote a fantasy short-story. The assignment was to write a short-story and draw inspiration from norse literature and norse mythology. I ended up writing a hero-story which is very norse, but I'm afraid a lot of it is more english, than norse. Hopefully my teacher will be dazzled by the story and not care.

When I came home, I was very tired, but very proud of myself. I lied on the couch and just watched episode 1.3 of Lewis which I just simply adore. (see icon!) It's murder mystery, with compelling characters and a huge dash of dry english humour. Just my cup of tea!

Then after a few hours on the couch I managed to drag myself to check my inbox and what do I find? Lots and lots of people participating in the Three Sentence Fic-a-thon! I could not be happier. I have tagged it to the top of my page, so it's easy to find. It'll keep on going until it dies.

Tomorrow I have english exams, which I'm really looking forward too. I'm going to kick ass.

An inquiry: Who is up for a three sentence fic-a-thon? It was one of the themes on [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic this week and it was so incredibly fun. And if anyone else is up for it, I'll totally host it.

The premise is that someone posts a prompt (one prompt per comment) and you answer it with a three sentence fic. It's so much fun and you'll end up writing for fandoms you've never tried before and it gets the creative juices flowing.

So what say ye? Are you up for it? Will you pimp it to your flist? (PLEASE SAY YES!)

If you're game, I'll make a post about it as fast as I can. (I really want to do this. It seems like those are the only thing I'm capable of writing these days.)

ETA: I'll even make a banner. You don't know it yet, but I'm real shit at making banners=)

ETA2: Actually, no, I will NOT make a banner because I really am shit at it. But if anyone else would like to, then please do!
