I'm back from London, several thousand kroner poorer, lots of books and clothes richer, and incredibly tired. Just popped in to say, before I sleep, that [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange sign-ups are up and running. GO OVER THERE AND SIGN UP, I KNOW YOU WANT TO!

And because I love this banner and know it will catch your eye:

Also, [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine: I bought Generation Kill and so far it's really good! Such an awesome and compelling read. Thanks for recommending it. Now I can't wait to finish it so I can watch the tv-series.

Once or twice every month I have Wednesdays off. The reason being that on Wednesdays we have whole days devoted to only one subject, and I don't have two of those four subjects. Today was one of those days off and I decided to spend my day shopping for birthday presents. I'm invited to two birthdays this weekend. But, the problem was that I am very broke at the moment. I had not enough money to buy to presents, so I had to borrow money from my dad. No problem, really. When I got to the mall I quickly decided on what to buy. I got The Hangover for my guy friend and the first season of Weeds for my girl friend. Hopefully, they'll like it. The Hangover is a movie a guy would like, right?

Then, since I had spent so little time on the present shopping I decided to waste some time doing my favorite thing: Book browsing. I wasn't going to buy anything, with me being almost broke. So I walked around and just looked. I love looking at books. It's so soothing. But then I discovered that they had gotten Good Omens. Yeah... We all know my resolve would break. I read the first few pages and I laughed out loud several times. (People were looking at me.) And there was only one left! I had to buy it, I had to! So I did. I am definitively so very broke right now. I barely have enough money to take the bus.

This weekend the Biathlon World Cup is coming to Oslo. I wanna go so badly! I wanna see Emil Hegle Svendsen being awesome in person. But I can't. Not only cause I have no money! But also because my weekend is jammed packed already. As I mentioned I have two birthdays to go to. One birthday on Friday, one birthday on Saturday. And on Saturday I'm also going to be a Confirmation Leader for the kids who are going to get confirmed this year. I'm really looking forward to it. I hope I'll make a good leader.

I have finished my Triple H story, the one about Paige. And [livejournal.com profile] grim_lupine was awesome enough to look it over for me as well. So I just have to edit the things she pointed out and then I'll post it for your reading pleasure!

Also! I want to watch White Collar, because I have found out that it might just be a show made for me, or something. But surfthechannel doesn't have it!! This is throwing me off, cause surfthechannel is supposed to have everything! (They had links to Max Manus, for christ sake!) So what do I do, all knowing flist? How am I gonna get to watch this show?

I'm home after four hectic days in London. My feet are still sore, but I'm oh so pleased with everything else. I really truly love London. It's my favourite city in the world.

The Tube is brilliant, beside the small fact that having to stand in a crowded cart for several stops on sore feet is torture, every city should get something similar.

If there is one thing the british is world-class at then it's queuing. To quote Andy Parsons: "There's two things the english is good at: moaning and queuing. And we que so we have something to moan about!" Now I have not encountered a lot of moaning. I've discovered that if you smile and apologize no one gets mad at you. But the queuing! It's so so fantastic. Their queuing system is the best ever. The entire world should adopt their system! Except from the right, because queuing from the left is just unnatural. Had it not been for the lovely signs saying: "Please que here!" mum and me would always come from the right.

We spent most of our time shopping- I'm sure you're all shocked- but we also managed to take a trip to Madame Tussaud. It was quite fun, except I've discovered how little I care about these celebrities, and I do not need to take a picture with their wax-look-a-like! But we did get to take a picture of us in the style of an Andy Warhol painting.

I bought seven books! One of them was Frankie Boyle's autobiography "My Shit Life So Far". I finished it on the flight home and I really liked it. (Today I bought tickets for Frankie Boyle's 2010 tour: "I Would Happily Punch Every One of You In the Face" in June. I might just go to London by myself, or I'll bring my brother. No matter, I will have a good time! If I wasn't broke when I came home last night, I am now.)

On Friday we saw Wicked. It was marvelous. The costumes and the set was so pretty. It was great.

We also discovered the HMV which is heaven for DVD-lovers. I had a small nerd-gasm! DVD's everywhere and it was all so incredibly cheap! I bought the first season of the Big Bang Theory for £15! That's 135 kr! That's what I have to pay for a movie here! And I got an entire season! It's the most awesome thing ever. I also bought Mock the Week Too Hot For TV and the Office season 3 for my friend.

I've gotten lots of new clothes including tights that's made to look like jeans, which is brilliant for me, since I can't wear skinny jeans, so this is the closest I get and it really do look like I'm wearing skinny jeans!

London. It was so much fun. I'm so tired right now, but really pleased.

- I've finished my [livejournal.com profile] narniaexchange fic. I'm sending it off to my beta now. So yay for that.

- I think I'm seeing the end of one of my girl!Kirk/McCoy fics. (This one has a name! Call Bones.) But I'm getting more and more unsure if it's any good. I will post it anyhow, not because I have a need to hear what people think (even though I do.) but because I have this thing where I can't really say that I've written anything if I haven't posted it. A finished fic on my hard-drive isn't completely finished before I post it. Yeah, I'm weird like that.

( - Would any of you like to beta my Star Trek fic? I would love you forever...)

-My room is getting painted so I'm sleeping in my brother's room. This is okay because he's off at Bible Camp. If he was home I would still be sleeping in his room, but we would be killing each other too.

-Bought three new t-shirts on sale today. Nothing I love more than a good sale!

<----- Look at my awesome icon!

I had a lovely day today. I went shopping with my mother. I never feel comfortable buying something with out my mothers opinion. I'm still just sixteen and I don't want to waste my money and I only really trust my mum on this kind of stuff. So in conclusion; I don't like shopping and if I do and only do it with my mum!

I bought (with mum's money, one of the nice perks shopping with my mummy=D ) two books:

Stardust- by Neil Gaiman

and

Sushi for beginners- by Marian Keyes

both of them in norwegian. I also got some nice tops and long sleeved t-shirts. I am very happy. Now I don't have to brave the mall before I need new books again. I love bookstores. I love reading and owning books. It really isn't the same when you borrow at the library, I just love seeing my bookcase full of books I love and own! I will be very upset if I don't get many books for my birthday and Christmas. =)
