Christmas was wonderful. So much better than last year. Of course, seeing as I had a fever and coughing everywhere last year, it wasn't really hard to beat it. But this years was truly great, because we had my uncle and aunt with their three children over, plus my granddad and grandma and my grandmother over. So we were many and it was lovely.

One of my cousins is just eight, and I'd totally forgotten how much of an awesome day Christmas Eve is for a eight year old. Being twenty-one now, I'm very used to all the "fake threats" of "Oh now we have to do the dishes, and then we have to rest and let the food sink, and then we have to brew the coffee, and THEN we can unwrap the presents!" So I know that of course as soon as we've cleared the table and unwound a bit, we'll start on the gifts, but him, being eight, did not. I think my dad really enjoyed having a kid around to react to all his tomfoolery.

My favorite present this year is definitely the London trip. Me and my Mum are going to London in February! We've booked everything. We're actually flying with a decent airline (NOT Ryanair for once) and actually landing in Heathrow, something that I find more exciting than I probably should. We've also gotten a really nice hotel in the West End. We have booked tickets to see The Phantom of the Opera.

Which is a bit of a funny story, because we booked these tickets in October. The reason why the trip is booked in February is because I really wanted to see John Owen Jones as the Phantom and in October it was said that his last show would be in March so we booked tickets for February. Then! No, JOJ is going to be the touring Phantom and had his last show in December. Earl Carpenter took over for him then, and I thought, "Hey, Earl! That's not so bad!" But then, I find out that the day we're seeing Phantom is the one day in February Earl isn't on! So, I'm understandingly a bit mad about that, but think, hey! I still got Killian Donnelly as Raoul. And then, NO! KILLIAN IS OFF ON HOLIDAY THEN!

-- So I'm a bit pissed about the whole PotO thing. Bad luck all around really. Not that I think it will be a bad experience or anything. I'm sure the actors we'll get will be fabulous.

But I am going to book tickets for Les Miz too, because I just can't miss the Ramin Karimloo/Hadley Fraser double act. I need to see them both play Jean Valjean and Javert!

The Three Sentence Ficathon is making me so happy. It's so great to see people have so much fun. It brings me great, great joy. I do wish people would post more cool Narnia prompts, so I can write them! But, yeesh, be more selfish, self.

Here! Have a small, quite banner to put into your posts to pimp. (If you seriously want it, I'll post the pimp code :P) I'm absurdly proud of that banner. I arranged those things on my desk, sent it through photobucket and TA-da! I think it's pretty :P

I finished all my Christmas shopping and wrapping! How awesome is that? I have never been finished this early before; it's before my birthday and I'm finished!? AWESOME.

Cards will be sent out some time next week.

I'm looking forward to doing some artisty stuff for the Narnia Big Bang. I had actually signed up for writing, but that turned out to be rather impossible.

First off: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I HOPE 2011 WILL YOU GIVE YOU MORE JOY THAN 2010 DID!

So on a personal level this Christmas has majorly sucked! I’ve been sick straight through. And not the “Poor you, do you have a bad cough?”-sick. Oh no, this was fever, the most disgusting cough you’ve ever heard, body-aches, sore throat, no appetite, and no sense of taste or smell. I haven’t been this bad since I had the swine-flu a year ago. It really, really sucked. The worst day was 23th of December, I basically just lied on the sofa and tried not to die. Christmas Eve was a tad better, enough so I managed to sit at the table in a nice dress and eat a little. Christmas Day I slept through almost all of the family gathering. So yeah, Christmas, not so good. Which is why I haven’t been vocally around. I’ve been pretty much ignoring everything that required me to write. I have been keeping up with everything though and I’m glad everyone else had a good Christmas.

Then, let’s talk about New Years Eve. Because I did something incredibly stupid and my journal is the perfect way for me to tell someone about it without it having any impact on my life. I do stupid things when I drink... )

Being on the topic of new years resolutions here are some of mine:

* Do not text and drink!

* Finish grade 13 (I like to have some goals I know I’ll make!)
* Go to London.
* See Les Miserables
* Read 25 books by September (and keep track of them here.)
* Write 10 fics
* Get one new good friend
* Work out at least once a month
* Keep writing letters
* Go to as many Stabæk (football) matches as possible
* Be a confirmation camp leader
* Go to church
* Go to the theatre

I’d rather not talk about last years resolutions since I didn’t manage to do all that many of them. I didn’t even manage to read forty books. I was three books short. This had been a bad reading year for me. Which, doesn’t really mean that it has been a bad year, because 2010 has been the best year of my life. I have done so many fun things because I wanted to do them. I got three new very good friends and I’m happy! I’m doing fairly good at school and I know what I want to study. (More on that later. It deserves a post of its own, I think.)

Happy things that happened in the end of 2010:

* I got Weeds season 1 on DVD from a friend!
* I got a North Face bag (those bag that you can carry like a backpack) from my grandparents!
* I saw Narnia!
* I exchanged Inception for the first season of Glee (I got two copies. Don’t worry, of course I own that badass movie!)
* I did not spend New Years Eve alone. I was kind of afraid I might. But I didn’t! And except the stupid things I ended up doing, I had a lot of fun! Kicked my brother’s ass in Sing Star for one :D
* My gorgeous new header given to me by the amazing, wonderful [livejournal.com profile] ayascythe

(On a completely unrelated note: The next post after this will be my 500th. How cool is that?)

The Wishlist Meme/Rules:
Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 12 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love an icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for __ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

* If you wish for real life things (not stories or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
* Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.
*Surf around your friends list (or friends’ friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.

And now here's the important part:
*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use — or even know where you could get someone's dream pure bred Basset Hound for free — do it.
* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it's your call.
* There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish and it might come true. Give and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My wishlist! )

Also, if you want a Christmas card from me, leave your name and address HERE.

You know what I hate most in the entire world? Feeling confused. Not "getting it". I read the fucking tutorials and follow what it says and still I can't seem to figure it out! Like today, I've been trying to authorize my Mac so it can play the songs I've bought on iTunes. And I CAN'T MAKE IT FUCKING WORK! I CAN'T FIND THE STUPID BUTTON THAT APPLE SAYS IS THERE!!! GAH! It makes me want to smash Edgar into tiny pieces, but it isn't his fault, so I won't. Does any of you know anything handy that might help me?

ETA: YES! YES! I MADE IT WORK! I AM AWESOME.

And while we're at feeling confused: Where the hell can I read the Yuletide stories???

Oh, Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! I hope you all have had a lovely couple of days. I sure have. I got so much more presents than I had ever imagined. I was totally set upon getting nothing, because my Mac cost a fucking fortune. But my parents are awesome and I'm a spoiled brat, so I got a suitcase! (I've been wanting one for two years now!) And a new pair of sweat-pants! My brother gave me a team-jersey for my favorite football team! I'm super content with this years Christmas. And everyone else enjoyed the presents they got from me, which is even more awesome.

Big hug to everyone on my flist! I love you all &hearts.

Life has been hectic lately, but the good kind of hectic. I'm actually doing stuff and having fun. I've spent time with my BFF who's a private in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. I love seeing her. The ironic thing is that I see her more now than I did when she lived at home.

I'm going to take the swineflu shot on Friday. With my immune system that's probably a good idea. Let's cross our fingers and hope it won't give me any weird after effects in twenty years.

So Christmas is coming up. So this year I thought I'd do something different than sending cards. (I'm poor okay! Stamps cost money!) So instead I thought I'd each write you a fic if you want to. I'll make a seperate post later. I promise I'll write it, but it might take some time which is why I'm starting now. Exams are coming up and writing is the perfect distraction when things are going to shits.

So how was your weekend? I was supposed to stay at my grandparents cause my folks were having a party, but my grandmother caught the flu (might be swineflu we're not sure.)and I was banned from visiting them. So I had to quickly find somewhere else to be. I went to a party. (You all is like yeah? so what? But for me that's quite rare actually.) I had fun. I think. I forgot that I get drunk very fast. I spent Sunday feeling pretty bad, but I had to finish a project about Canada (which we're going to present tomorrow. Wish me luck!) and then I went to a fotball match with my family. I'm really starting to dig it. I love my team and I think I'll join their support club, my brother is already a member and it looks so much fun!

<3 Merry Christmas!! <3

I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas. I sure am. It's amazing how different everything is when you're well and healthy and have the energy to do everything!

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!!!!!

I love Christmas, and this one has been the best one in years. I'm so happy with my presents and we've eaten lots of delicious food. I'll post a longer summary of my christmas later, but I wanted to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas. Thank you for a wonderful year!!

Today I got my new Uggs! Yay, I bought them online so they were cheaper than they would've been if I'd bought them in store. I also got a new bobble jacket today. So now I'm ready for the winter. If there only could come some snow soon. I love snow! I love the winter. I'm one of those girls that likes to pretend that I like summer, but when it comes to it, I usually spend my summer in the shade reading a book. I like winter and snow, skiing, and wearing cute snow outfits. I'm hoping it will snow before my birthday (8. december), if not it should at least be snow on christmas.

I'll send out my christmas cards tomorrow, I hope!

Click here to see my new shoes and jacket. Aren't they pretty? )

I'm almost finished with my christmas shopping. Only two more presents left. Lucky me, I didn't have that many presents to buy this year! I'm making three of them and that only left four. The hardest one are left, I have no idea to what I'm going to buy them. Well, 9 days left=)
