First off: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I HOPE 2011 WILL YOU GIVE YOU MORE JOY THAN 2010 DID!

So on a personal level this Christmas has majorly sucked! I’ve been sick straight through. And not the “Poor you, do you have a bad cough?”-sick. Oh no, this was fever, the most disgusting cough you’ve ever heard, body-aches, sore throat, no appetite, and no sense of taste or smell. I haven’t been this bad since I had the swine-flu a year ago. It really, really sucked. The worst day was 23th of December, I basically just lied on the sofa and tried not to die. Christmas Eve was a tad better, enough so I managed to sit at the table in a nice dress and eat a little. Christmas Day I slept through almost all of the family gathering. So yeah, Christmas, not so good. Which is why I haven’t been vocally around. I’ve been pretty much ignoring everything that required me to write. I have been keeping up with everything though and I’m glad everyone else had a good Christmas.

Then, let’s talk about New Years Eve. Because I did something incredibly stupid and my journal is the perfect way for me to tell someone about it without it having any impact on my life. I do stupid things when I drink... )

Being on the topic of new years resolutions here are some of mine:

* Do not text and drink!

* Finish grade 13 (I like to have some goals I know I’ll make!)
* Go to London.
* See Les Miserables
* Read 25 books by September (and keep track of them here.)
* Write 10 fics
* Get one new good friend
* Work out at least once a month
* Keep writing letters
* Go to as many Stabæk (football) matches as possible
* Be a confirmation camp leader
* Go to church
* Go to the theatre

I’d rather not talk about last years resolutions since I didn’t manage to do all that many of them. I didn’t even manage to read forty books. I was three books short. This had been a bad reading year for me. Which, doesn’t really mean that it has been a bad year, because 2010 has been the best year of my life. I have done so many fun things because I wanted to do them. I got three new very good friends and I’m happy! I’m doing fairly good at school and I know what I want to study. (More on that later. It deserves a post of its own, I think.)

Happy things that happened in the end of 2010:

* I got Weeds season 1 on DVD from a friend!
* I got a North Face bag (those bag that you can carry like a backpack) from my grandparents!
* I saw Narnia!
* I exchanged Inception for the first season of Glee (I got two copies. Don’t worry, of course I own that badass movie!)
* I did not spend New Years Eve alone. I was kind of afraid I might. But I didn’t! And except the stupid things I ended up doing, I had a lot of fun! Kicked my brother’s ass in Sing Star for one :D
* My gorgeous new header given to me by the amazing, wonderful [livejournal.com profile] ayascythe

(On a completely unrelated note: The next post after this will be my 500th. How cool is that?)

So yeah, I'm back. As I'm sure you've noticed by the two big ass posts I just posted. You may also have guessed that I'm some what of a control freak. Those posts are honestly more for my benefit than they are for yours.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Let's hope 2010 will be a good year. I can honestly say that 2009 has been the best year I've had in four years. Not that it takes much to beat 2005, 2007 and 2008 (we do not talk about 2006, it was that bad!)

Question: What will you call 2010? Are you going to say two thousand and ten or twenty ten? I think I'll use both.

New Year Resolutions:

- Go to London.
- Finish 12th grade.
- Get a B in English, History and Philosophy, Sociology and Socialanthropology, and Norwegian oral.
- Read 40 books.
- Write 3 fics that has a word count of at least 10 000 words.
- Write one original story.

I always make new year resolutions, even if I never keep them. As you can see here, most of them are fun and things I know I can do, and one is something I have to work at, which is good. I love making lists and goals and love it when I'm able to tick them off one by one. I think goals are good, even if you don't reach them. Just having them is a step in the right direction.

Aaaghhh! I want to watch Doctor Who the End of Time soooo badly! But I have to shake myself and remind myself that it's 23.50 and I have to go to bed! Not stay up and watch Doctor Who. I can do that tomorrow!!

Speaking of tomorrow: I have a dentist appointment. If it wasn't so damn early, 08.15, then I wouldn't mind it at all. I don't think there's anything wrong with my teeth this time.

I bought another year of paid account on LJ. I'm so not ready for ads and lesser icon space. But I do think I'm going to shuffle my icons around and get some new ones. I desperately need an icon of Peter and Edmund, and I think I want a Supernatural icon too... Any suggestions to where to look?

Did everyone have a nice New Years Eve? I had an awesome time. It was cold and it snowed and we went out to watch the fireworks. Afterward we had an epic snow fight which my dad lost spectacularly. You know, never start a snow fight with kids, they don't understand the meaning of no.

2008 was the year...

  • The Four Years of Doom ended. (Read, I'm not sick anymore!)
  • I finally started school again.
  • I saw Les Miserables, Singin' in the Rain and Sound of Music.
  • I went to London and fell in love with it.
  • I finished 11th year english.
  • I wrote six fanfics, and one of those had chapters.

2009 will be the year...
  • I finish year 11.
  • I start working out regularly.
  • I do my homework faithfully, and work real hard to get better grades.
  • I'll get a summer job.
  • I'll go to London alone for the money I made from my summer job.
  • I'll write at least 4 fics.

It's a new year everyone and I want to thank you all for making 2007 a very good year for me. It definitively better than 2006 and I hope 2008 will be the year I get well.

My new year celebration was okay. I'm not a very social person so I spent much of the time in my room reading Oliver Twist (which I did manage to finish before the year ended so that makes my book count for that year 58!)

I don't know if I've told you, but I'm afraid of fireworks. A couple of years ago we had an incident were a firework went the wrong way and it could have ended badly, luckily it didn't, but it left me with a deep fear of those things. This year we decided to not send up any fireworks of our own and I enjoyed looking at other peoples fireworks in a distance away.

I looked up what my new years resolutions was last year and I realized that it was only one and it was quite pathetic.

If I was to have a new year resolution it would be; to take my vitamins everyday. That's reasonable and it should be easy. (I know that I won't be able to remember to take them everyday. Besides I hate to take vitamins) But they are very important, so I will try very hard to hold this resolution!

I didn't manage to keep to it, but I've been taking them quite often if not everyday.

This years resolutions will be a little different. They need to be fun so it's easier to remember them. Here goes:

1. I will think positive! Good thoughts attracts good things!

2. I am going to do my sit ups every night.

3. I'm going to take my vitamins everyday. Especially calcium since I don't drink milk.

4. I'm going to loose five kilos

5. I'm going to finish 11th grade english.

6. I'm going to ski at least two days!

Hmmm.... most of these don't look like fun at all. But if I manage to keep at least nr. 5 and 6 I'll be very happy.

Happy new year everyone!

First off; Happy new year!! I hope to God that this year will be better than the (two) last.
I had a not quite miserable new year celebration, but I can't say that its one of the best. I haven't been feeling very good the last weeks, so I guess that has had an impact on everything.

If I was to have a new year resolution it would be; to take my vitamins everyday. That's reasonable and it should be easy. (I know that I won't be able to remember to take them everyday. Besides I hate to take vitamins) But they are very important, so I will try very hard to hold this resolution!
